(Newport, DE) -- A new study claims the redevelopment of the former GM plant site in Newport could create two-thousand-one-hundred jobs. Philadelphia-based Econsult Solutions found that Harvey Hanna's exploratory plan for the Boxwood Road property would produce more than 281-million-dollars in annual impact. The company announced in April plans to build a three-million-square-foot distribution and business center. The application for the site's demolition and construction is still being processed by the county.
