On Saturday, April 26th, the state of Delaware and the Drug Enforcement Agency are organizing "Drug Take-Back Day" when you can safely dispose of unneeded medications.
By bringing your old medications to designated collection sites you can help fight prescription drug abuse, which is our fastest-growing drug problem. Twenty percent of Americans over the age of 12 have abused prescription drugs and it's now the second most common form of drug abuse.
You'll also be doing your part to help the environment! Too many people pour their old medications down the drain or throw them in the trash. That poses potential health hazards to our water supply.
Please safely dispose of your unused, over-the-counter and prescription medicines on Saturday, April 26th from 10am - 2pm.
