Now you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee even more. It appears that caffeinated beverages -- from coffee to tea to soft drinks -- not only give us a jolt of energy, but also boost long-term memory, according to researchers from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
For the first time, science has shown that caffeine helps reduce forgetfulness for about 24 hours. Until now, caffeine's effects on long-term memory have not been examined in detail. Of the few studies done, the general consensus was that caffeine has little or no effect on long-term memory retention.
