Successful Season For Nesting Piper Plovers

(Lewes, DE)  --  Fish and Wildlife officials say it's been a successful nesting season for piping plovers in Delaware. They report 16 breeding pairs produced 36 fledglings, an all-time high in the state.  The piping plover is a federally-listed threatened species and a state-listed endangered species in the First State.
