State Warns Of Jury Duty Phone Scam

(Dover, DE)  --  A phone scam regarding missed jury duty service is making the rounds in Delaware.  The Department of Justice Consumer Protection Unit is warning of a live caller claiming that bench warrants have been issued for the consumer's arrest due to their failure to appear for jury duty.  Consumers are then told they need to pay a fine to avoid arrest.  The DOJ reminds everyone to never agree to pay any fine over the phone.  State residents eligible for jury duty are always notified by mail about their obligation to serve.
