Delaware’s First Annual No Babies Wet Behind Diaper Drive will take place this Friday, April 13, 2018, with drop off locations throughout Delaware.
The original event was created and organized by Lisa Prestipino of Apple Electric located in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and supported for many years by many who live in the coastal Delaware resort region. Previously, diaper drive happy hours were organized at Nage restaurant, now Fork and Flask, and area gyms planned group exercise parties and yoga gatherings where diapers were donated for entry. Thousands of diapers were donated and provided by truckloads to the Gardenia House, a safe house for single mothers located in Georgetown, Delaware.
This year, Prestipino’s diaper drive will be state wide, benefiting the Gardenia House and Harry K. Foundation Pantries throughout Delaware. This event is organized by Apple Electric’s Lisa Prestipino, City of Rehoboth Beach Commissioner and candidate for Delaware State Auditor Kathy McGuiness, and Director of Public Relations and Communications at Jack Lingo Realtor Karen Falk.
