Blue Hens Broadcast Crew

The 2015 University of Delaware season will mark the 17th consecutive year of Blue Hen football being broadcast on 94.7 WDSD.

94.7 FM WDSD, the only station with statewide coverage in Delaware, will once again be the flagship station for Blue Hen football, with coverage throughout Delaware, and parts of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Games can also be heard online at and on your mobile device, using the iHeart Radio app.

For the fourth season, Scott Klatzkin will handle all play-by-play duties for Delaware Football. Klatzkin, the "Voice of the Blue Hens,” also provides play-by-play for the Blue Hens Men’s Basketball team on WDSD-FM. Matt Janus, in his ninth year with the broadcast crew, will serve as color analyst for the third straight season. Making his debut as sideline reporter this season will be two-time CAA All-Conference selection, Michael Atunrase. Joining Scott and Matt in the broadcast booth as on-site producer is James Taylor. This will be Taylor's first season as producer after spending two seasons as field sound operator. Once again joining the pre-game show as a weekly guest for the 12th consecutive year will be Kevin Tresolini from the News Journal.

For the third consecutive season, the entire Blue Hens radio broadcast crew is made up of University of Delaware graduates.

WDSD-FM will once again begin its coverage of Delaware football games one hour prior to kick-off with the “Blue Hens Gameday” pre-game show, and during all home games the show will be live outside of Delaware Stadium.

The Blue Hens Football Coach’s Show, hosted by Klatzkin, will be broadcast live every Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. throughout the season and will feature Head Coach Dave Brock and student-athlete guests. The show will once again take place at Klondike Kate’s Restaurant on Main Street in Newark, with the first show to air on September 2nd.

For more University of Delaware sports, Blue Hens Live will air every Friday at 5pm throughout the season on WDSD’s partner station, Fox Sports 1290 AM. The first show of the season will air on September 11th.

A Newark, Delaware native, Klatzkin will serve in his fourth season as play-by-play “Voice of the Blue Hens” football and men’s basketball teams in 2015.

A 2007 graduate of the University of Delaware, Klatzkin previously provided play-by-play for the Blue Hens while serving as Sports Director of student radio station, WVUD-FM, as an undergraduate. He returned to work with Delaware in 2011 with Hens All-Access and continues to work with the University as host of "Under the Lights" with Dave Brock and as emcee to many Blue Hens events and banquets. He has also worked for the Colonial Athletic Association by broadcasting basketball games on television and hosting CAA Football Media Day Live programs on CAA.TV.

Prior to becoming the play-by-play broadcaster for his alma mater in 2012, Klatzkin spent the previous four seasons broadcasting Delaware State University football and basketball, as well as the Delaware High School football and basketball “Game of the Week” on Sports Radio 1290, WWTX-AM.

Klatzkin has been named the 2009 and 2013 Delaware Sportscaster of the Year Award presented by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association and is also a Delaware Press Association award winner for his broadcasting of University of Delaware Football.

A 2007 graduate of the University of Delaware, Janus enters his ninth season with the broadcast team and his third season as color analyst.

Janus had previously served in many roles with the broadcast team, including on-site producer and sideline reporter. Prior to teaming up at 94.7 FM, Janus had formerly partnered with play-by-play broadcaster, Scott Klatzkin, as a University of Delaware undergrad on the student radio station.

Janus will begin his fourth season as play-by-play broadcaster for Women’s Basketball this winter on Fox Sports 1290 AM and 1410 WDOV AM. Matt served as the voice of the women’s basketball team during the squad’s 2013 run to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.

He also currently works for the Kansas City Royals’ A affiliate, Wilmington Blue Rocks, as the team’s New Media Manager and Play-by-Play broadcaster.

 Michael Atunrase

A former University of Delaware Blue Hens standout at defensive end, Michael Atunrase joins the broadcast team for the 2015 season as sideline reporter. The 2012 University of Delaware graduate was a starter on the Blue Hens 2010 FCS National Runner-Up team and led UD in sacks in both 2010 and 2011 on his way to being selected All-CAA in both of those years.

After graduating, Michael was a member of several NFL practice squads and most recently played professional indoor football for the Trenton Freedom. Atunrase tallied 12.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks in just nine games last season.

Atunrase also trains local athletes at Titus Sports Academy

James Taylor graduated the University of Delaware in 2012 with a degree in civil engineering and enters his sixth season with WDSD. After spending two seasons as field sound operator, James will move up to the booth this season as on-site producer. Taylor replaces 10-year veteran on the Blue Hens broadcast crew, Matt Ryan. J.T. also serves as in-studio producer during basketball season and has previously served as promotions director at the Blue Hens Football Coach’s Shows.
