Chris Young still plans to perform this weekend. But the country star says in a Facebook post that it'll be "interesting" to play shows "while wearing a sling." Young had hand surgery last Friday after slicing his left hand in a kitchen mishap on Thursday.
Meanwhile, The singer's mom is sharing a few more details about his injury, which was more serious than initially reported. Becky Harris says on her Facebook page that Chris needed two operations, and the doctor "did a great job on the second surgery." She also explains that after 48 hours Chris could "still move his fingers," and they're "all still looking good color wise." Becky adds that she doesn't know when the doctor will remove the stitches, but says "there are a LOT of them."
The country star shared on Instagram:
"Oh ya know, just learning to eat with one hand for a while! #soup"
Chris has a couple of shows scheduled later this week. He's slated to be Thursday's headliner at the Steamboat Days festival in Burlington, Iowa, and join Dierks Bentley, Frankie Ballard, and others for the Country Jam in Thornville, Ohio on Saturday.
